Oliver Shafaat

Oliver Shafaat Ph.D. is the manager of the fiber R&D section at Spiber, a biomaterials startup engaged in the production of sustainable protein materials. He received his doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the California Institute of Technology and then relocated to Japan to join Spiber, where he draws inspiration from nature to design new protein materials from the genetic level up.
